Playgrounds in the city centre of Karlsruhe

Exercise in the fresh air, creative play, and a safe space for your little ones? You can find that in Karlsruhe city centre, too.

If you are having a long day of shopping with the family and want to give the littlest members a break, you should make a stop here. The neighbouring cafés and restaurants mean that a visit here will be an experience for the grown-ups, too.

The city centre districts of City-Centre-Ost and City-Centre-West are home to 7 public playgrounds spanning an area of around 2 hectares, and the playgrounds are designed and maintained by the city’s parks department. Apart from the “Am Künstlerhaus” playground, the facilities offer a wide range of activities for a number of age groups.
