Im Süden Karlsruhes finden sich idyllisch zwischen Kleingartenanlagen gelegene Lokale mit Biergärten und bekannt gutem Essen, mit den klangvollen Namen Gartenzwerg, Elsternest (Weiherfeld) und Zwitscherstube (Gartenstadt), die sich geradezu ideal als Radausflugsziele anbieten. Und in Rüppurr serviert Kofflers Heuriger in seinem traditionellen Heurigen-Lokal österreichische Schmankerln zu süffigem Karlsruher Bier (siehe auch „Biergarten-Tour“ auf Seite 28).
